Professional Association of Ultrasound Technicians in the Netherlands for obstetrics and gynecology (BEN)
The Professional Association of Sonographers Netherlands (BEN) was founded in 1997 by sonographers in obstetrics and gynecology. Her main goals are advocacy and quality promotion. The BEN focuses primarily on anyone who performs ultrasound examinations in obstetrics and/or gynecology, or is trained to do so.But the BEN is also relevant for anyone who is interested in this field.
Every year, the BEN organizes a General Members Meeting (ALV) in the spring, supplemented with a scientific program by (inter)national speakers. A large (online) scientific symposium will take place in the autumn, where (inter)national speakers will discuss current themes within ultrasound scanning in obstetrics and/or gynaecology. In addition, the BEN offers hands-on training several times a year, which participants greatly appreciate. The core values against which BEN assesses all its activities are “involved, current, active and visible”.
