Guardus® Overtube. available for esophagus and stomach, are specifically developed for enhanced protection and safety. The overtube system features an exclusive tapered tip design to protect against mucosal damage, while its insufflation cap helps maintain insufflation and guard against leakage of body fluids.
The disposable overtube is used in conjunction with a flexible endoscope for foreign body or tissue retrieval, and/or endoscopic procedures requiring multiple endoscope intubations.
The Guardus Overtube is color-coded proximally for easy identification:
- Yellow = Standard endoscope, small diameter
- Orange = Therapeutic endoscope, larger diameter
